The more you use your PC, the more applications you install, the slower your computer will get and more prone to errors it will become. Chances are your using Windows. Windows stores valuable information in a place known as the registry. If your registry has issues, you may not even be able to use Windows. Uniblue has created software to fix these issues and to optimize the registry, to keep your PC running and error-free. Programs will boot up quicker and crash less. Uniblue's first release, the original RegistryBooster was an excellent program. Does the successor keep up that great image? Lets find out.

Upon installation and activation using the serial key, RegistryBooster Version 2 has a much easier to navigate UI. The layout is simple, and you can get from A to B without hassle. Everything is clearly labeled. One thing we didn't like is that it automatically sets up to start every time Windows boots and go to the system tray. By adding another thing to your start-up queue, it's actually going to lower your boot time. And we can't see ourselves checking for errors every time we boot up, so we immediately shut those off in the Settings tab. We also dislike that the software, when you close it, minimizes to the tray, where you have to close it again. The red x should close the application—nothing else. After that, we started up our scan.

Once again, we had a ton of errors and issues that RegistryBooster found. In the first section alone more than 124 errors were found. After finding these errors naturally we had to repair them. We looked through the list, and didn't find anything that we felt we should stop from being fixed. In the event you do, you can uncheck the box and that part of the registry will be left alone. Clicking repair, the software went to work and quickly took care of our registry errors. Afterwards, we also ran the registry defrag, to re-order our registry for optimal performance. After this, we restarted the computer and noticed right off the bat, the boot-up time was reduced. Previously, a few of our programs would unexpectedly crash after a few hours of use. After running RegistryBooster Version 2, the programs were far more stable and crashes were far less frequent.

Things get jumbled around the more you use your computer and Uniblue has straightened out the mess with RegistryBooster Version 2. The second in the series, this software is a great tool to have, especially for power users who crave the extra performance and need a very stable OS. The prices aren't too high and having a more stable PC is great. Uniblue also recognizes that perhaps you will regret fixing a part of your registry, or perhaps an error will arise after repairs are made. So they also include a backup feature, letting you turn your registry back. You can also put specific parts of the registry in an ignore list, if they keep appearing to repair and you are certain you don't want to mess with them. Another great tool from Uniblue for all Windows users.
