Rather than serving as a point and click malware cleanup tool, TuT is intended as a performance tweaker, tasks analyzer, and maintenance hub. Inside TuT, you may check your disk for errors, boot into safe mode, perform "housekeeping" functionalities like deleting temporary files, and tweaking the programs that run on startup. While most all of the functionality of TuT is provided for free, it serves as an excellent front end to the most common tasks in computer troubleshooting, from disabling startup applications to editing the registry.
The first main function of TuT is analysis of the programs that run on your PC. Upon startup, you get a top to bottom analysis of everything running on your PC, including what anti-virus software you have going, what system tasks, and what programs are just hogging RAM.
Launching this program will allow you to adjust your startup settings as you please; you can disable applications that you thought were previously disabled (but were not), adjust messenger programs or anti-virus software, and more. The value of this program is immense for tweaking your Windows install as quickly and painlessly as possible.
Also provided with TuT is easy access to disk cleanup, in its Housekeeping function. TuT does a very good job making sure you do things right, with a checklist to follow before using it, and the option to get rid of everything from temporary files to recently run program shortcuts.
The functionality provided in TuT is nothing you couldnt already do for free. However, this program makes up for that by providing the easiest way I have ever seen to do any of these tasks. No more registry hunting, searching online, or digging through forums and Microsoft support to figure out whats wrong. For that, we highly reccomend you take a look at the Ultimate Troubleshooter; for its nominal price tag, you get an excellent product.
